What You're Buying
The JBL PartyBox On-The-Go Essential combines a rechargeable speaker, a wireless microphone and vocal controls for music and sing-alongs. Haiven's listing includes a wireless microphone; check the regional box contents if you need more than one.
How It Works
Play music through Bluetooth, USB or AUX, then use the microphone alongside it. Bass, treble and echo controls let you adjust the vocal effect. Separate mic and guitar inputs support a wired setup.
Before guests arrive, test your music source and microphone together at a comfortable volume. Start with little echo, then adjust while someone listens from the seating area.
Why We Chose It
The useful combination here is music playback and voice input in one unit. A shoulder strap helps with carrying, while the battery avoids needing mains power throughout a short session.
What Sets It Apart
- JBL specifies 100 W output and a light show that follows the music.
- Battery playback is rated up to six hours, not a guaranteed event duration. Plan access to power for longer gatherings.
- IPX4 means splash protection, not permission to immerse the speaker.
- TWS pairing supports another On-The-Go Essential or the original On-The-Go. Do not assume every PartyBox model pairs with it.
Check your second speaker's exact model before planning a two-speaker setup. JBL's TWS compatibility guidance identifies the supported pairing.

Why We Recommend It
Consider it when a microphone matters as much as the playlist. Choose your setup around session length, available power and verified pairing compatibility, rather than assuming that a portable party speaker will cover every venue.
