▍What You're Buying
The DJI RS 4 Pro Combo is a three-axis camera stabilizer for filming controlled moving shots. This guide focuses on checking your camera setup and understanding the Combo package before choosing it. The camera shown in the product illustration is for demonstration and is not part of the gimbal kit.
DJI specifies a tested payload of 4.5kg. Count the camera, lens and attached accessories together. Being under that limit is only the first check: the setup must also fit, balance and support the camera-control functions you need.
▍How It Works
Prepare the camera as you intend to film, then balance the axes and run the recommended tuning procedure. Follow the DJI RS 4 Pro support guide and manual for setup. Check the lens position and cable clearance through the movements you plan to use.
For a first test, record a short, slow move around a stationary product. Review the result before a longer shoot. Practise the same move a few times so you can separate setup problems from changes in your walking or framing.
▍Why We Chose It
We chose this model for a practical buying question: what does a larger gimbal system add to a camera workflow? Its appeal is most relevant when you want moving product shots or controlled walkthroughs and can allow time for balancing, rehearsing and carrying the complete rig.
▍What Sets It Apart
- Combo accessories: DJI's standard RS 4 Pro Combo includes a Ronin Image Transmitter and a Focus Pro Motor, alongside the stabilizer and other listed accessories.
- Vertical shooting: the horizontal plate supports switching orientation without an additional vertical mount. The gimbal still needs rebalancing afterwards.
- Expansion choices: LiDAR focusing and extended-runtime configurations require the relevant additional hardware. Do not assume every accessory shown in a demonstration comes in the Combo.
Check the exact bundle against DJI's Combo contents and compatibility guidance, especially if comparing similarly named packages.

▍Why We Recommend It
Consider it when your intended camera-and-lens setup is compatible and moving shots are part of your regular work. Write down your complete rig and required control functions first. That checklist makes the choice clearer than selecting a stabilizer by payload alone.
