PROS
  • Offers many improvements to its replaced version D5500.
  • Excellent camera sensor quality of 23.5 x 15.6 mm sized CMOS sensor
  • Perfect for enthusiast semi-professional photography of landscape, portrait with the 2.4 megapixel resolution.
  • Good selfie-mode photography 
  • Build quality is great and design is comfortable with a large touch -screen.
  • Portable and compact for entry-level
  • Good for capturing moving objects easily with the shutter-speed.
  • Best models for its specifications and price among Nikon Cameras.
  • Amazing daylight photography.
  • File sharing and connectivity is great with the wifi.
  • Impressive battery life offering an excellent 970 shots when using the viewfinder.
  • Offers advanced features, such as Time exposures and advanced Auto ISO customisable.
CONS
 - Video resolution is up to 1080p and no GP option.
  • Unlike other models, not suitable for extreme weather since the camera build is not rugged, dust and mud proof.
  • Requires you to change some settings via a menu since it lacks some useful features. 
  • Live view operation still not as refined as cameras with hybrid AF
  • No 4K video recording.
  • Shooting 14-bit RAW images slows burst rate down to 4 fps
  • Shallow buffer depth
  • May be not suitable for professional photographers.
