The new 13inch MacBook Pro launched on 2022 has a distinctive feature being the first Apple MacBook that has their M2 system on a chip. After their success with the M1 chip, many of us are wondering if it’s worth purchasing the MacBook with M2 chip. In this post, we will dive into a quick pros and cons of the latest MacBook Pro 13inch.

PROS

• M2 Offers a better performance than M1
• M2 speed boost - as stated by Apple, 18 percent improvement in general CPU performance for the M2 over the M1
• Has an internal cooling fan that enables to maintain a better operating temperature resulting in a better the CPU tasks.
• Has the Touch Bar.
• Battery life slightly better.

CONS

• The design still comprises of it’s predecessors versions.
• Created Tech and Max Tech tested 13-inch MacBook Pro M2 with a 256GB SSD and their results show that the SSD’s read speeds are significantly slower than the M1-based 13-inch MacBook Pro.
• The only significant feature MacBook Pro M2 has it’s M2 chip, rest of the features are same as before.
• Has a 720p FaceTime camera, not the 1080p version in the M2 MacBoohe touch bar maybe a downside for some.​
